Pocket Size Herb Seed Kit

August 3, 2012 by

Except for the dirt, this pocket-size herb kit from Brooklyn studio and shop, Plant, includes everything you need to grow a variety of herbs outdoors or indoors in any container, even a coffee cup. You don’t need a garden or even a balcony: and a sunny kitchen windowsill works fine.

• Seeds for 10 fragrant herbs: Approximately 100 seeds each herb of basil, dill, sage, mint, marjoram, oregano, thyme, arugula, curly parsley and flat-leaf parsley.

• Instruction cards for each herb covering planting, care and harvesting

• Wooden garden markers, pre-labeled, one for each herb

The  Herb Seed Kit was designed by Holly McWhorter and Bjarke Ballisager and is assembled at the Mid-Hudson Workshop for the Disabled in Poughkeepsie, New York, by a team of adults with physical and medical handicaps. Mid-Hudson’s goal is to provide meaningful work for the Mid-Hudson New York area’s disabled population.

$18 from Plant and Uncommon Goods.

Cool! This kit really contains everything you need in planting and taking care of your plants. With it, growing my own herbal garden will be easier. Do you have any suggestions on the type of soil to use?
