Sow What?
Hello Urban Gardeners, I’m Robin Plaskoff Horton, creative catalyst, art director, writer, and co-facilitator of The Blog Workshops. My interest in Urban Gardens stems from my love affair with city life, design, and nature. I want to bring those things together for urban dwellers and others with limited space who share those interests.
So, here, I present you with Urban Gardens: Unlimited Thinking for Limited Spaces. I will link you to the freshest innovative and eco-friendly designs, trends, and ideas for the stylish urban garden. I will explore and showcase what’s out there in the urban garden universe–from the amazing products of talented new designers, to community gardens experimenting with edible landscaping, sustainable urban agriculture and micro-farms, to guerrilla gardeners transforming derelict abandoned properties into lush, or at least, provocative garden spaces.
One of the world’s longest running international design competitions, Creativity Awards, has awarded its highest honor, the Platinum Award, to Urban Gardens. In addition, The Garden Writers Association bestowed a Silver award, and we were nominated for a Webby–hailed by The New York Times as the “Internet’s highest honor.”
