I’ll Trade You a Zucchini for That Kholrabi

Maybe you live in a space that can’t accommodate a vegetable garden, or you don’t have the time to cultivate one.  Perhaps you weren’t blessed with a green thumb, or you were but grow much more than you can eat.

Now there’s a place you can turn to buy, sell, trade, or just plain give away your surplus home grown produce.  The Farmer’s Garden, launched by Maureen Farmer (yes, that’s her real name) is an online community where gardeners can buy, sell, give away or trade produce with other gardeners or consumers. Individuals and non-profit organizations can also post classified ads for desired produce. Registration is free and not required to search the classifieds. You can search by zip code, geographical radius, transaction type (barter, sale, free, or wanted), category (berries, flowers, fruit, nuts/seeds, plants, vegetables) or keyword. Check it out and share in the bounty!
